Xi'an Airport adds more International Routes to Japan and Southeast Asia

With the launch of winter 2019/20 season,Xi'an International Airport together with Spring Airlines introduced several international routes yesterday. The new destinations include Ibaraki in Osaka Prefecture (Japan), Saga in Kyushu Island (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand) and Phnom Penh (Cambodia). The service to Bangkok and Phnom Penh will be operated daily while flights to Ibaraki and Saga will be operated four times and three times a week respectively. In addition, Spring Airlines decides to increase the frequency of XIY-KIX from one weekly to one daily. All flights will be operated by A320 aircraft. The new schedule will be in effect from October 27th.
After the changes going into operation, Spring Airlines will have nine routes from Xi'an Airports, among which four are domestic and five are international destinations. Also, Xi'an Airport accumulatively expand its route network to 62 foreign destinations with 76 routes. Not only the new connections help build the bridges between China and far East as well as South Asia, but also travelers who prefer those holiday resorts can be offered with a low-cost option.
Spring Airlines is the first private airline in China and a low-cost carrier based at two main airports in Shanghai. It currently operates flights to 130 destinations with 81 aircrafts. Instead of using the TravelSky booking system, Spring Airlines use B2C online sales and direct mobile sales as its main distribution channels. With the innovative business model, Spring Airlines can provide the price 30% lower than the market and maintain an average load factor of 95%.
Ibaraki already starts to promote the new route and Xi'an province on its official website.
