On October 16th 2019, Xi'an Airport held a press conference for its new product 'Intelligent Transfer' and announced the winter schedule during the meeting. There were over 300 representatives from the industry including the local government, aviation administration, airports, airlines, air travel and freight agents and media attending the conference.
Intelligent Transfer
Together with Ctrip, Xi'an International Airport introduced the new service of 'Intelligent Transfer' to the public. From October 28th, transit passengers in Xi'an airport who have to change for another airline no longer need to go back to the check-in counter. The airport will automatically complete the process and transfer the luggage to the destination. Travel documents will be sent to passengers' mobile devices so that they can go to the departure gate of their connecting flight directly. The service now is only provided to passengers who buy ticket on Ctrip. Other OTAs like Qunar, Flight Manger and Travelgo (ly.com) will join the service in the future.
Thanks to its inaugural service of 'Hassle-free Transfer' and 'Premium Transfer' launched in May 2019, Xi'an airport is one of the top airports in China in terms of the transit service satisfaction. Those transfer services that secure the flight connection are highly appreciated by the public. 'Intelligent Transfer' as a complementary component in the transit products will further enhance the experience for travelers and meet the rising demand of transit passengers, which make contributions to the aim of 'The Best Transit Airport in China' for Xi'an airport.
