Air Changan Opens Xi'an-Quanzhou Service in 2019 Winter Schedule

Air Changan was acquired by HNA group in 2000 and operated under Hannan Airlines'code until the company was relaunched in 2016 as an independent carrier. Air Changan operates 30 services to 42 destinations with 11 Boeing 737 aircrafts. As the only local carrier based in Xi'an airport, Air Changan born with the mission of promoting the connectivity for the airport. In 2019 winter schedule, the airline plans to launch and resume serval services. On October 29th, Air Changan announced that a new service from Xi'an to Quanzhou will be in operation.
The flights take off on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Xi'an airport at 13:40, with one stop at Chizhou and arrives at Quanzhou airport at 17:55.
The connection between Xi'an and Quanzhou has its own importance for the Belt and Road initiatives (BRI). Xi'an as the well-known start point of the Silk Road Economic Belt while Quanzhou is an important port on the Maritime Silk Road, through which China has conducted trade with other Asian countries since ancient times. The new route creates the foundation for Xi'an and Quanzhou to achieve development together.
Xi'an is committed to reforming and opening-up while promoting economy and trade under China's BRI. Xi'an airport takes the advantage of technological innovation and industrial revolution to improve its infrastructure, strengthen its internal management and constantly reinforce its air traffic control system. With all the efforts paid off, Xi'an airport was granted approval from Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to expand its slot time capacity in peak hour from 54 movements to 57 movements on October 28th.
