Airlines Reduce Services Out of China after Intl Flight Cuts Ordered by CAAC

On March 26, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued the Notice on Further Reducing International Passenger Flights during the Epidemic Prevention and Control Period, requiring further cuts in the number of international passenger flights.
As required by CAAC, each Chinese airline is only allowed to maintain one route to any specific country with no more than one flight per week; each foreign airline is only allowed to maintain one route to China with no more than one weekly flight. Airlines are required to implement their adjusted flight plans as of March 29, 2020.
In accordance with the new policy, a number of airlines in China have announced their adjusted international flight schedules. As of Mar 28, these airlines are Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Spring Airlines, Juneyao Airlines and Capital Airlines.
