ICAO: Economic Impact of COVID-19 on Civil Aviation (Updated Apr. 2, 2020)

Airports could lose about US$ 76 billion for full year 2020, while airlines suffer potential revenue losses of US$ 90 to 118 billion in the first half of the year, according to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) , which has released its latest report providing estimates of COVID-19's economic impact on civil aviation.
Impact on International Passenger Traffic
The preliminary estimates indicate the impact in terms of scheduled international passenger traffic during first half 2020 compared to Baseline (originally-planned):
- Overall reduction of seats offered by airlines of 37% to 48%.

Impacts on Airports and Tourism
