The 6th Symposium on Aviation Maintenance and Engineering Management was ceremoniously convened from October 12th to 13th, 2023, in Yichang, Hubei, China, and has recently reached its fruitful culmination. Representing a paramount professional gathering within the realm of civil aviation maintenance in China, the symposium convened an assembly of over a hundred airlines and numerous industry luminaries, united in providing sagacious insights and dedicated contributions to the prospective development of aviation maintenance and engineering management.
"Mitigating Maintenance Expenditure while Augmenting Aircraft Operational Availability" served as the conference's main focus. In a straightforward and comprehensive manner, representatives discussed current industry hot topics, best operational practices, and new technology and products. The goal was to improve fleet operating efficiency while lowering maintenance expenses. Over the course of the two-day conference, we had the honor of listening to the thought-provoking speeches of approximately 20 eminent speakers. The conference comprised a total of 12 scholarly keynote presentations and 3 panel discussions, engrossing in-depth investigations into the challenges confronting preventive maintenance, the contemporary status and future trajectory of PMA, and the strategies devised to navigate the challenges faced in the maintenance and operation of aging aircraft. Eminent representatives participated actively, engrossed in discussions and collectively deliberating upon pertinent topics, thereby bestowing invaluable wisdom and perspectives conducive to the flourishing evolution of the Chinese aviation maintenance industry.
