Five people have been killed in a mid-air collision between two light aircraft thought to have been coming in to land at an airport, ambulance officials said on Aug. 17.
On Aug. 17, the aircraft collided in the morning around five miles from Coventry Airport in central England.
Four of the dead were travelling in one plane, while there was only one occupant in the other.
All were confirmed dead at the scene, the West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
One of the planes crashed into woods while the other came down near Coombe Abbey, a luxury hotel. There were no reports of injuries on the ground.
Coventry is a small airport which operates cheap flights to European holiday destinations in countries including Greece and Spain.
