Three Injured in New Zealand Light Plane Crash

Three people were injured when the light plane they were in crashed at New Zealand South Island's West Coast on Sep. 5, Radio New Zealand reported.
The light plane crashed on its way into the airfield near the South Island town of Fox Glacier just before 01:00 pm local time (01:00GMT), police said.
The pilot was briefly trapped, while the two passengers scrambled out of the wreckage.
Police said the extent of their injuries is unknown, but it is understood they are not life-threatening.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials were investigating the cause of the accident.
The Fox Glacier area was without power, with locals saying the plane hit power lines.
