First Class customers travelling on the Boeing 777-300ER will be able to savour a medley of sweet flavours and textures with an ice-cream mooncake, a modern take on the traditional sweet pastry, paired with fresh pomelo and blueberries, and dressed with a swirl of raspberry sauce.
First Class customers travelling in other aircraft types will be presented with a plated dessert of snowskin mooncake filled with fragrant lotus paste, served with mango pudding, tangy pomelo, fresh berries and creme anglaise.
The airline's Business Class customers will also each get an elegant snowskin mooncake dessert while Economy Class customers will get to enjoy a traditional baked lotus paste-filled mooncake, complemented with mango pudding and juicy pomelo.
The Mid-Autumn Festival doesn't get any sweeter than this, so come celebrate the festivities with Singapore Airlines!
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Lunar calendar, where traditionally the moon is believed to be at its brightest and fullest. It is one of the most important festivals for the Chinese. The full moon symbolizes harmony and togetherness in the family. The traditional food of the festival, mooncakes -- traditional Chinese pastries filled with lotus paste -- are eaten to celebrate this.
