Small Plane Bursts into Flames After Landing in Okinawa Sugarcane Field

A small airplane made an emergency landing in a sugarcane field in Nago, Okinawa Prefecture, on the evening of Oct. 24 and burst into flames, injuring four crew members onboard, police said.
The Cessna plane is believed to have run short of fuel on its way to the U.S. Kadena Air Base in Okinawa from Amami-Oshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, according to the transport ministry.
