Finland-Based Company Buys Aviation Systems Maintenance

Vaisala has bought Aviation Systems Maintenance Inc. for US$3.2 million.
Vaisala is based in Finland.
Aviation Systems Maintenance is based in Overland Park and has nine employees, Kevin Lindsey, president of The DVS Group, said on Jan. 6.
The DVS Group is an Overland Park-based investment banker that represented Aviation Systems in the transaction.
Aviation Systems has been in business for 25 years. It installs and provides maintenance services for aircraft instrument landing systems and weather-monitoring equipment.
Vaisala provides a range of observation and measurement products and services for meteorology, weather-critical operations and controlled environments. It has more than 1,100 employees.
