BOC Aviation Names Zhang Yanling as New Chairperson

On Jan. 20, BOC Aviation announced that Ms Zhang Yanling, Executive Vice President of Bank of China ("BOC"), is the new Chairperson of the Board of BOC Aviation.
Ms Zhang is a member of the Senior Management of BOC and has served as Executive Vice President of BOC since March 2002. She joined the bank in 1977 and served as Executive Assistant President from October 2000 to March 2002. Prior to that, she was General Manager of Banking Department, General Manager of Milan Branch and General Manager of Legal Affairs Department. Ms Zhang has also served as Vice-Chairperson of the International Chamber of Commerce Banking Commission since July 2003.
Since June 2002, Ms Zhang has been a Non-Executive Director of BOCHK Holdings. She has also been serving in succession as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Directors in BOC International since September 2003.
Ms Zhang graduated from Liaoning University in 1977 and received a Masters degree from Wuhan University in 1999.
