- Dragonair Named 'Best Airline - China' for Sixth Consecutive Year[Jul. 31, 2007]
Dragonair has been voted "Best Airline - China" in the 2006/7 World Airline Survey conducted by Skytrax - the sixth consecutive year for the carrier to win the award. The latest survey was conducted between August 2006 and June 2007 and measured some 35 aspects of passenger satisfaction. More than 14 million travellers cast a vote, making the Skytrax survey the biggest of its kind in the world.

Two advanced Boeing technologies will combine to help Emirates drive efficiency and maintain performance in its rapidly growing fleet of Boeing 777s and new 747-8s. By the end of this year, the Dubai-based airline will be operating 51 777s. In 2005, the airline ordered 42 777s, and when all of those are in service, the airline is expected to have a fleet of 93 777s.

- AerCap Holdings N.V. Announces The Pricing of Secondary Public Offering of Its Ordinary Shares[Aug. 01, 2007]
On August 1, AerCap Holdings N.V. announced that companies controlled by funds and accounts affiliated with Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. ("Cerberus"), its selling shareholders, had priced an offering of 20,000,000 ordinary shares at US$25.90 per share. The underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 3,000,000 ordinary shares from Cerberus to cover overallotments, if any. Cerberus will continue to hold approximately a 46% interest in AerCap (or a 42% interest if the overallotment option is exercised in full). AerCap will not receive any of the proceeds from the offering.

ANA and Singapore Airlines have filed for permission to increase their present code-sharing relationship to cover destinations in Asia, North America and Japan beyond the hub airports of Singapore Changi Airport and Tokyo Narita Airport, from September 1 this year.
