Aviation Technology Group, Inc., (ATG) announced the appointment of Action Aviation as an exclusive distributor for the civilian versions of the Javelin jet throughout the Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and West Asia. As part of this agreement, Action Aviation has placed firm orders for 40 Javelin jets, worth $120 million, for delivery to its customers over a period of eight years from certification, including a few early premium positions.

Dragonair is raising frequencies over the Lunar New Year holidays and in summer schedule to meet increased demand. The airline plans to operate a total of 46 additional flights, including charter flights, over the Lunar New Year holidays, while the summer schedule sees it boosting frequencies to 11 China Mainland destinations and two non-Mainland cities, effective from March 25 to October 27.

On January 31, Dragonair took delivery of the second of five 747-400 Boeing Converted Freighters, taking the number of all-cargo aircraft it operates to eight. The aircraft is due to enter service next month.
- ANA Concludes Commitment Line Agreement with 15 Japanese Banks[Jan. 31, 2007]
On January 31, ANA (All Nippon Airways) concluded a Commitment Line agreement with a syndicate of 15 major Japanese banks, under the terms of which it can access up to 100 billion yen during a three to five year term. The money may be borrowed for any length of time up to three to five years from the date of application.

- JAL Expands Charter Business[Jan. 31, 2007]
JAL has decided to promote charter flight business as a new international business field and will strengthen activities in this area in future. In FY2007, JAL will operate about 800 charter flights, an increase of about 100 flights (13%) from the current year ending March 31, 2007, from various parts of Japan to cities and tourist destinations around the world (excludes Haneda - Gimpo charter flights).
