Worldwide business jet deliveries rose by 4 percent, to 129 units, in the first quarter, according to statistics released today by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association. Pressurized turboprops, meanwhile, saw an increase of nearly 53 percent year-over-year.

- Lufthansa Technik and Schott Offer New Cabin Lighting System[May 05, 2013]
At the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Lufthansa Technik and Schott presented a new development in cabin lighting systems for aircraft. For the first time, aircraft owners can take advantage of LED technology while avoiding the color changes that occur when LEDs age. The new Nicemood system, which has already been approved for use in aircraft, mixes and regulates the light output of different diodes, for what the developers call significant cost savings compared with traditional lighting and a dramatic improvement in lighting quality.
- FlairJet and Marshall Executive Aviation Draw on Each Other's Strengths[May 03, 2013]
FlairJet, the London Oxford Airport-based business jet charter company, has been quick to reap the benefits of having a dual UK base, following its acquisition by Cambridge-based Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group in March. It is determined to break free of being solely an Embraer Phenom operator and will this week add the Marshall Executive Aviationoperated Cessna XLS to its managed aircraft fleet, under its AOC. The Citation Bravo will be added two weeks later with the Challenger 300 following in June, Managing Director of FlairJet and MEA,David Fletcher said.
- London Oxford Airport Shows Steady Growth in 2012[May 02, 2013]
London Oxford Airport retained its status as one of the UK's top tier airports for business aviation in 2012. In terms of movements it is now ranked fifth in the Eurocontrol's annual statistics report, handling more business aviation traffic than Stansted and London City Airports. Speaking at the airport's pre EBACE Show briefing on 1st May Managing Director Andi Pargeter confirmed that daily bizav movements since the UK's pre-recession peak in 2007 have grown by 98%.

The damaged-aircraft repair team (Dart) of Cleveland, Ohio-based Constant Aviation completed its third EMB-135 (Legacy 600/650) wing replacement. Dart consists of maintenance, structural, engineering and avionics technicians poised to deploy to any location within 24 hours. To date it has completed three Legacy 600 wing replacements, four EMB-135 nose replacements and numerous structural jobs in the field.
