Air tickets to Beijing now cost more after the aviation regulator slashed flights at Capital International Airport to ease congestion.

China Southern Airlines Co Ltd will increase the fuel surcharge for flights to Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to HK$103 one-way and HK$206 round-trip, from the previous HK$100 and HK$200.
- Cathay Pacific: Typhoon Sepat Causes Taipei Flight Disruptions[Aug. 17, 2007]
Cathay Pacific Airways announced that all its flights to and from Taipei will be operating as normal on August 17. However, as Typhoon Sepat is expected to affect flight operations in Taipei in the morning on August 18, all flights to and from Taipei will be suspended until 1400 HK time.
- Air China Introduces Beijing-Shanghai Hongqiao "Air Express" Shuttle Service[Aug. 16, 2007]
Starting August 6, Air China has introduced a new service - "Air Express" - to passengers flying between Beijing and Shanghai Hongqiao, China's two pre-eminent cities and hubs. Passengers can now enjoy any of Air China's 20 scheduled daily flights (including seven code-shared flights) on the Beijing-Shanghai Hongqiao "Air Express".

Korean Air (KAL), the largest airline in South Korea, has agreed to expand codeshare from late October with two Chinese major airlines, covering all flights connecting China and South Korea, according to KAL Beijing Office August 12.

Japan Airlines Corp, Asia's largest carrier by sales, will add more flights to Guangzhou in southern Guangdong Province and cut its frequencies to Hong Kong as it focuses on more profitable routes.
