On November 2, Shandong Airlines' (SC) Boeing 737-800 aircraft painted with the livery of "Expo 2014 Qingdao China" took off from Qingdao airport for its inaugural flight on Qingdao-Beijing. Two "Expo 2014 Qingdao China" aircraft sponsored by Shandong Airlines will be deployed on domestic truck routes connecting to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other major cities.
The 2014 Qingdao International Horticulture Expo was held in Qingdao from April to October 2014, aiming to promoting the economic, cultural, and technology exchanges between countries around the world and their development in such fields.
