Photos: First Look at Finnair A350 XWB in oneworld Livery
Jul. 23, 2015

Finnair (AY) has rolled out its second Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, MSN19, in a special oneworld Alliance exterior paint design, which would be the world's first A350 sporting the special oneworld-livery.

The photo of the A350 from the Airbus painting hangar was published Wednesday by the flag carrier via its official twitter account, saying "A first look at our 2nd A350 Finnair looking beautiful in the oneworld-livery!" Since July 8, the A350-900 aircraft has been in Toulouse for painting. Finnair disclosed "the result": A color scheme in the oneworld livery.

On the same day, the aircraft, MSN19, was towed out of hangar in full painting, but still without engines. For the upcoming acceptance tests in Toulouse, the Airbus A350-941 will bear a French transitional registration "F-WZFN" before the final Registration "OH LWB".

The striking new livery features the oneworld name in large letters that are more than six feet tall, with Finnair placed below the oneworld name. The oneworld logo appears on the side of the fuselage against Finnair's familiar polished aluminum skin.

As the first European airline to fly the A350 XWB and the third operator in the world, Finnair is also the first airline in the world to operate the A350 on scheduled services to China, where Shanghai will be served with daily A350 service from October 25, 2015. Beijing follows with daily A350 service on November 21, 2015.

Finnair has 19 A350 aircraft on order, and expects to receive the first four by the end of this year. Another seven will be delivered in 2016 and 2017, with the remaining eight to be delivered between 2018 and 2023.
