All Nippon Airways (ANA) Saturday officially unveiled a Star Wars themed Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at the Boeing Everett Factory, Washington, which is the first of three aircraft to be decorated with Star Wars characters as part of an agreement between the Japanese airline and the Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd.

The R2-D2™ 787 rolled out of the Everett paint hangar for the first time on Saturday morning. The characters of STAR WARS joined to celebrate the event.

The R2-D2™ ANA Jet will start flying international routes from October. On October 18, the R2-D2™ is scheduled to go into service on international route between Tokyo and Vancouver.

One of the other two Star Wars themed designs will feature the new droid BB-8, a brand new droid from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which will be on a Boeing 777-300ER. The other will be a combination livery of both BB-8 and R2-D2 on the outside of a Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
