Grand China Air, Nanjing Airport Banned from Adding Flights in July

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has barred Grand Air China from adding frequencies, charter services or making new route applications, due to poor on-time performance, effective June 27.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Fuzhou Changle International Airport and Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport continue to be banned from adding frequencies, charter services, and making new route applications in July, after failing to meet Chinese regulatory requirements on on-time performance.
Meanwhile, the aviation watchdog also blocked any additional flights in and out of Nanjing Lukou International Airport in July 2016, according to a notice released Friday on the CAAC's website.
In July, Haikou Meilan International Airport and Sanya Phoenix International Airport will be able to resume applications for new services as their on-time performance improved.
In the short statement, the regulator stated that the airline and airports must first meet performance targets for two consecutive months, before further flight applications will be accepted.
