China Southern Airlines has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for permissions to launch two international services to Moscow, Russia and Nagoya, Japan.
Pending government approval, the Guangzhou-based carrier plans to start Shenzhen-Moscow and Wuhan-Dalian-Nagoya routes in April, according to notices released Wednesday on the CAAC's website.
China Southern will operate the Moscow on a daily basis, using Airbus A330-200/A330-300 or Boeing 787 Dreamliner; while the Wuhan-Dalian-Nagoya service will be operated twice weekly, using B738/A321/A320/A319 aircraft.
China Southern currently services Moscow from its Guangzhou hub, and will be the first carrier offering nonstop flights from Shenzhen to Moscow.
The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until 5:00 p.m. on March 7, 2017.
