Dubai International (DXB), the world's busiest airport for international passenger traffic, added a new airline to its family of 70 international carriers, and expanded its connectivity to a new destination on Thursday evening with the arrival of GoAir's inaugural flight from Kannur in the South Indian state of Kerala. The airline has launched daily direct flights between DXB's Terminal 1 and Kannur International Airport, making Dubai its sixth international destination. The fast growing airline boasts a fleet of 51 Airbus A320s and operates some 285 flights daily to 24 destinations across India. Following the launch of GoAir's service, DXB is now served by five Indian carriers operating approximately 360 weekly flights to 21 destinations across India. India is the single largest destination country for DXB in terms of contribution to traffic volumes with 12.3 million passengers recorded in 2018.

- DXB Welcomes Air India's Inaugural Services from Indian Cities of Indore and Kolkata[Jul. 16, 2019]
Dubai International (DXB) welcomed India's national carrier Air India's inaugural flights from the cities of Indore and Kolkata (Calcutta) on Monday evening. The thrice weekly service from Indore is the first international flight out of the city, which is the commercial capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh. Air India's Chairman and Managing Director Ashwani Lohani (third from right) was among the 150 passengers who arrived on the inaugural flight and was given a warm welcome by representatives of Dubai Airports and its service partners. Air India will operate three weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai providing needed capacity on the route. Following the new additions, DXB is now served by four Indian carriers operating 382 weekly flights to 20 destinations across India. India is the single largest destination country in terms of contribution to traffic volumes at DXB with 12.3 million passengers recorded in 2018.

Sheremetyevo International Airport has summed up its operating results for June and HY1 2019. Total passenger traffic in the first six months of 2019 was 23.404 million passengers, 14.1% up YoY. In HY1 2019, the airport provided 188,346 takeoff and landing operations, a 14.6% increase YoY. Sheremetyevo is the leading airport in the Moscow Air Hub with 50% of the total passenger traffic.
