The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has launched FACE-UP - a competition for recent graduates to present their thesis at the 2018 World Cargo Symposium (WCS) in Dallas, USA. To be eligible, graduates must have a thesis topic about air transport logistics (e.g. air cargo, supply chain management, mobility, IT solutions, etc.).

Starting from 29th October, 2017,China Southern Cargo will implement flight plan in IATA 2017 winter season. In the new season, the scale of China Southern cargo aircraft fleet will remain unchanged which includes 12 Boeing 777F and 2 Boeing 747Ffreighters. According to the plan, China Southern will operate a total of weekly 49 scheduled international flights, an increase of 2 flights from last IATA season.

- Double Digit Growth for Global Air Freight Demand in July[Sep. 05, 2017]
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), increased by 11.4% in July 2017 compared to the same period a year ago. This was the fourth time in five months that double-digit annual growth was recorded. July's year-on-year increase in demand is nearly four times higher than the ten year average growth rate of 3.1%.
