China Eastern Transports Nearly 10 Million Passengers During Spring Festival Travel Rush

China Eastern Airlines has transported nearly 10 million passengers during the past 40-day Spring Festival travel rush from January 13 to February 21, the Shanghai-based carrier said.
During the travel peak, China Eastern handled a total of 740,000 aircraft movements, up 11 percent compared with the same period last year.
The Shanghai-based carrier handled more than 22,500 aircraft movements at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA), transporting 3.67 million passengers through the two airports.
In addition, China Eastern handled over 2.17 million passengers and 16,388 aircraft takeoffs and landings during the week-long Chinese Lunar New Year holiday from January 27 to February 2.
