The Estonian government has taken delivery of the first of two AgustaWestland AW139 medium twin helicopters.

Qantas said on Oct. 22 that it would purchase 12 additional Bombardier 72-seat Q400 aircraft for QantasLink. The airline will also take options and purchase rights for another 24 Q400s.
- South Korea to Allow Hikes in Airline Fuel Surcharges[Oct. 22, 2007]
On Oct. 22, South Korean officials said that the government plans to allow domestic airlines and freight companies to increase their fuel surcharges due to the rapidly increasing international oil prices.
- Singapore Airlines to Increase Fuel Surcharge[Oct. 19, 2007]
As a result of a sustained escalation in the price of jet fuel in recent months, Singapore Airlines will increase its fuel surcharge for tickets issued on or after October 24, 2007. The new levels will apply to Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights as follows:

All Nippon Airways Co, Japan's second-largest airline, said it would book a special loss of 22.3 billion yen (US$191 million) due to additional depreciation costs following a review of how it values its fleet.

S7 Airlines said revenue through the year's first nine months rose 27% year-over-year to US$845 million and full-year turnover will reach US$1.17 billion compared to US$1 billion in 2006.
- Air India Eyes Big Aircraft Order by Mid-2008[Oct. 18, 2007]
Air India's board is to consider proposals for the purchase of dozens of new aircraft in the coming weeks and expects firm orders to be placed around the middle of 2008. It is meanwhile hoping to be accepted as a member of the Star Alliance by the end of this year.
