On August 31, the Qantas Group announced that it had acquired 100 per cent of the Asia-based express freight operator, DPEX Worldwide.
- Boeing Airplane-Monitoring System Adds Six Airlines in First-Half 2007[Aug. 30, 2007]
Six airlines adopted Boeing's in-flight airplane-monitoring system in the first half of the year, bringing to 15 the number of airlines and freight carriers to sign for the program. Airplane Health Management (AHM) now provides real-time monitoring and decision support for 42 percent of the world's 777s and 28 percent of its 747-400s.

EgyptAir signed a contract for five firm A330-200s plus three options, Airbus announced.
- Brazil's TAM Airlines Orders 1,000th Boeing 777[Aug. 29, 2007]
On Aug. 29, the Boeing Company announced that an order from Brazil's TAM Airlines for four additional 777-300ERs brings to 1,003 the number of 777s ordered since the first order of the popular widebody in 1990. This announcement also means that, to date in 2007, Boeing has received orders for 100 of the popular 777s.

Norwegian Air Shuttle has ordered 42 new Boeing 737-800 airplanes with a list price of US$3.1 billion and secured rights to buy 42 more of the same model, the company said on August 30.

On August 30, low fare airline Tiger Airways announced an order for up to 50 V2500-powered Airbus A320-family aircraft engines backed by a V2500Select aftermarket agreement. The combined engine and aftermarket value to IAE is in excess of S$1.3 billion.
