Air New Zealand, has appointed Kathryn Gregory as marketing manager for Europe and the UK. Gregory, who joins from bmi, will be the airline's top marketer.

Air Arabia has signed a management agreement with Rotana Hotels to manage a new property that the carrier is building at Sharjah International Airport.
- ANA to Sell 13 Hotels to Morgan Stanley[Apr. 14, 2007]
On April 13, All Nippon Airways Co. announced it will sell its 13 Japan-based hotels to U.S. brokerage giant Morgan Stanley for about 280 billion yen - a move that will allow the carrier to focus on its core airline business.

The three bidding consortia for Italian State-run airline Alitalia will submit their business plans and non-binding offers for at least 39.9% of the company on April 16, but at the moment there is no obvious front runner, industry experts said on April 13.
- SWISS Raises Seat Load Factor Slightly in First Quarter[Apr. 12, 2007]
SWISS increased capacity utilisation in the first quarter of 2007 by 2.5 percentage points over the same period last year, achieving an average systemwide seat load factor (SLF) of 76.9%. On intercontinental routes the SLF was 81.9% (previous year: 80.6%). The SLF on European routes increased by 5.1 percentage points to 66.2%. Some 2.6 million passengers travelled with SWISS during the January-March period (previous year: 2.2 million).

- Airbus Announces New Appointments[Apr. 10, 2007]
Patrick Gavin has been appointed Airbus' Executive Vice President Engineering, effective April 16, in replacement of Alain Garcia, who will become Technical Advisor to the CEO prior to retiring at the end of June. As such Mr Gavin is a member of the Airbus Executive Committee. Simultaneously, Charles Champion becomes Airbus' Executive Vice President Customer Services, taking over from Mr Gavin.

On April 5, JetBlue Airways Corporation reported that its traffic in March increased 9.9 percent from March 2006, on a capacity increase of 11.3 percent.

American Eagle Airlines reported systemwide traffic for March increased 1 percent from March 2006, on a capacity increase of 1 percent. System load factor was 74.1 percent, flat year over year.
