- Airbus Takes Media on A380 Flight[Feb. 07, 2007]
Members of the international press and television got their first chance to experience flying in the A380 during a two-hour flight over the Pyrenees on Feb. 7. Also onboard to answer their questions and show them around the cabin were members of Airbus' senior management and marketing teams. The A380 used for the flight is powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, has a fully furnished cabin with seating for 519 passengers in a three class configuration.
- ATR and Air Deccan Open Joint Training Center in Bangalore[Feb. 08, 2007]
On the occasion of the Aero India Airshow 2007, ATR and the Indian carrier Air Deccan announced the opening of a new joint Training Center in Bangalore in order to prepare future pilots for the ATR fleet of the airline. This center counts a Full Flight Trainer (FFT), the latest generation of flight simulators, developed jointly by ATR and Canada-based Mechtronix.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport plans to upgrade its cargo facilities for fueling and loading later this year. The upgrade aims to improve and reinforce five 'hardstands' for Boeing 747-400 and 800 aircraft that stop for fueling in Anchorage.

ANA will add momentum to its expanding cargo operation within the coming summer schedule, which runs from March 25 to October 27 inclusive, concentrating its network on the buoyant Asia market and increasing flights to China from Osaka's Kansai Airport. Subject to Japanese government approval of its plans, it will up the frequency of freighter flights by 90%, and Available Tonne Kilos (ATK) by 72%, compared with summer 2006.
