AerCap Holdings N.V. announced on Sep. 27 that it has recently closed the acquisition of a Boeing 737 New Generation ("NG"), which was delivered new from the production line this month. This aircraft is the seventh Boeing 737NG that AerCap has purchased in the last twelve months, expanding the share of modern Boeing aircraft in AerCap's already diverse portfolio.

Southwest Airlines announced it flew 5.6 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in Sep. 2007, an 8.6% increase from the 5.2 billion RPMs flown in Sep. 2006. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 7.8% year-on-year to 8.3 billion. The load factor for the month was 67.7%, a 0.5 ppt year-on-year increase.

US Airways has confirmed an agreement signed at the Paris Air Show in June to buy 92 aircraft from Airbus, the European plane-maker said on Oct. 5.
- Ural Airlines Signs A Firm Order for Seven Airbus A320s[Oct. 04, 2007]
Ural Airlines, one of the leading Russian airlines, has signed a firm contract for the first time with Airbus, for the acquisition of seven A320s. It comes as a confirmation of the Memorandum of Understanding that was announced in June 2007 at the Paris air show. With this deal, Ural Airlines becomes a new Airbus customer.
