Don McKneely and Sharon Patterson, roundtable co-founders, formally introduced Boeing as one of the newest member companies at a reception in New York on May 23.

The first simulation center for flight physics called "C2A2S2E (Center for Computer Applications in AeroSpace Science and Engineering)" was opened on May 29 at the Braunschweig Research Airport in Germany. The EUR30 million project is sponsored by Airbus, the German Aerospace Center DLR and the State of Lower Saxony.
